Thanks for stopping by our site. I’m small-business owner – Frank Legourd, and I appreciate you taking the time to learn a bit more about us. Awakening Peak Botanicals, Inc. is a locally owed, family-operated business located outside of Winnemucca, in Humboldt County, Nevada.
The company is named after a local landmark visible to our north (Awakening Peak), which is the highest peak in the nearby mountain range. The company was originally established in 2008 as Awakening Peak, Inc. and later renamed to Awakening Peak Botanicals, Inc. in 2019 to better reflect our core mission. Our small artisan operation designs, crafts, produces, and markets online a variety of wellness and aromatherapy products made from 100% pure essential oils.
The high-desert plateaus surrounded by towering and scenic mountain ranges in the area are home to numerous wildlife and vegetation native to the Great Basin region of the Western U.S. Old windmills, abandoned silver mines, and generational ranches-established since the late 1800’s – dot the landscape, and is the reason this part of the state is also called “Cowboy Country”. The area is also rich in Shoshone and Paiute Native American history. The ancient tribes of this region, in fact, had masterful knowledge of plant life and their healing properties, and this in large part has inspired us to create many of our hand-crafted products.
All of our raw ingredients are natural, plant-based and sourced ethically and sustainably from the best locations all over the world including many here in the U.S and locally where each species of plant is best wild-harvested in its original and native habitat. Our strict quality standards and attention to detail ensure that you receive the highest quality product. Our local business operation also runs entirely on off-grid solar power 365 days a year with zero carbon footprint. Our distalation process, rather than using propane, use electric heat generated entirely from clean energy from the sun. This is roughly the equivalent of planting five acres of trees every year. Lastly, we work through a charitable organizations donating a percentange of our proceeds to plant new trees all over the world on our behalf.

Our Vision
Our vision and prayer is one of harmony and peaceful co-existence with nature and our fragile and precious planet we call home (Earth). There is no “Planet B” if we don’t get this right, and there has never been a more urgent time in history for individuals, governments, and businesses – big and small – to work together to reduce our collective carbon footprint to assure our future on this planet. For the first-time in human history, we have the knowledge and technology at hand as a civilization to operate both profitably and sustainably. Now all it will take is will and action.
